Hello, and welcome

I am a Freelance Illustrator and Educator living in Nottingham, the city of rebels and creatives, including illustrators!

I work as an Hourly Paid Lecturer and Module Leader at Nottingham Trent University, supporting students with their Illustration Practice and also with Critical Theory research. Additionally, for the past 15 years I have devised and delivered creative and history based workshops in museums and schools. Sessions are informed by and also enrich my own creative practice.

I recently completed an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art, and now regularly use sketchbooks for observational and imaginative drawing, problem solving visual interpretation through the use of colour and materials. Regular sketchbook practice has become an opportunity to quickly capture interactions between people, wider vistas, or scale contrasting buildings, nature and people .

In 2022, I was shortlisted for the Batsford prize.
